Hi! I am Ruth Banares-David (that should have a dash above the n). I just turned 50, hence the title of this space. My husband, Victor, just got his senior citizen card this year and is now enjoying the fruit of his employment. My eldest daughter, Miel, just finished college. My two sons are both in college.



I am at that point in my life when I feel the need to stop and reflect on my life. What have I done in the five decades I had been on this earth? Have I made the world a better place? What will people in my circle of influence remember most about me? I guess this blog is really meant to find my relevance. And also to leave some sort of a record that I did exist. I hope that whoever chances upon my musings will find some interesting things that they can also adopt in their lives.
